Wine Advocate on BODEGA NOEMÍA
|
|
Noemía de Patagonia is now the sole property of Han Vinding Diers, a project in Río Negro in Patagonia in the south of Argentina, where he cultivates seven hectares of vines that are certified organic by Ecocert. He produces 120,000 bottles per year of very balanced and elegant wines where the oak is better and better integrated. They are paying minute attention to all details, and that pays back. These are some of the best wines from Argentina.

Vinous, September 2022
The 2021 Malbec J. Alberto from Mainqué, Río Negro was 30% aged for 12 months in used barrels. Bright purple in the glass. The refined, subtle nose offers notes of violet and sweet and sour cherry with hints of plum, cedar and sandalwood. Juicy in the mouth with finely grained, subtly grippy tannins, refined acidity, expressive flavor and a delicate texture, the nuanced details will grow more prominent in the bottle. A precisely made, pure red, it’s already growing noticeably in the glass.

Tim Atkin MW, 2024
If you can’t afford - or get hold of - a bottle of Hans Vinding-Diers’ top wine, Noemía, A Lisa is an excellent substitute. Partnering Malbec with 9% Merlot and 1% Cabernet Franc, it’s a wine that showcases the freshness and fruit quality of Río Negro.
Focused, succulent, and perfumed, it features graceful tannins with notes of fennel, bramble, and wild strawberry, all leading to a tapering finish.
