Cinsault blend from 5 vineyards located in Guarilihue Alto. Vines are between 45-88 years old, dry-farmed with the gobelet system. Sandy to sandy silty granite. Around 22,000 bottles per year are made.

Cinsault single vineyard (0.64 ha) from Guarilihue Alto planted in 1942. It's one of the oldest Cinsault vineyards in the area. The soil is superficial red, silty, decomposed granite (0-120 cm) that transforms (>120 cm) into a sandy silty light brown with many quartz pebbles. The vineyard is organic (non certified). Around 3200 bottles per year are made.

Cinsault single vineyard from the area of Tinajacura, in Guarilihue Alto. The vineyard was planted in 1995 with 0.82 ha. The vineyard is located on the upper part of the hill, very red terroir, decomposed, silty Granite with low amounts of Quartz pebbles. The vineyard is organic (non certified). Around 2500 bottles per year are made.

Cinsault single vineyard from the area of Guarilihue Alto. The vineyard was planted in 1943 with 0.51 ha. The soil is composed by a red, silty sandy horizon in the first 70 cm moving to a sandy silty decomposed light yellow - brown Granite, full of Quartz. The vineyard is organic (non certified). Around 3600 bottles per year are made.

PEDRO PARRA Y FAMILIA

After 15 years of travelling around the world as a terroir consultant, Pedro decided it was time to make wines that he likes to drink and to create a legacy for his family. He wanted to make pure terroir driven wines from granitic soils in and around his home of Concepción in the Itata Valley, South Central Chile. He is a leader in the ‘New Chile’ wine movement making wine in areas that were previously considered too extreme to make premium wine.
