Holiday Gift Guide: Impressive 95+ Point Wines
Our Holiday Gift Guide has been very well received over the last several years. The premise is we try to replicate the wine media’s Top 10 or Top 100 wine lists (Wine Spectator, Wine Enthusiast etc) with a collection of our most sought after, highest scoring wines. We have some very limited quantities of wines that would qualify for this type of list available now and thought we would share it with you as the holidays approach.
All the wines below are in stock and available to order. The line has been drawn at a fairly difficult to achieve 95 points. Everything on this list scored at least 95 or above from a reputable media source.
We are obviously very proud of the wines our partners produce and thrilled to import such a broad range of exceptional products. This New World Wines list is just part one of two of our Holiday Gift Guide. There should be something in our guide to appeal to nearly any wine taste.
As always, click on any of the individual wines below to read more on our website or contact us directly if you have any questions – just hit reply. We love to talk about wine. Should this list not have anything of interest, look out for part two, Old World Wines, in a couple days!

Wine Advocate, November 2022
The nose of the 2020 White Bones Chardonnay is an explosion of thyme and rockrose, aromatic, open, expressive, outspoken, showy and exuberant. It also has notes of white flowers and citrus, pine needles and incense, continuously developing new layers, curry, something smoky, more and more aromatic herbs, nuanced, complex and with a magnetic attraction that makes you go back to the glass over and over again. This was harvested all at the same time, whereas it was sometimes harvested over four different moments in the past; so this is a bit different and an extraordinary year for this wine, transcending the conditions of the year, with lower alcohol and pH (12.5% and 3.1) than the 2021, despite coming from a warmer year. This is very tasty and long, stony (more than White Stones!) and very persistent. Amazing juice! 5,760 bottles produced.

James Halliday (Australian Wine Companion), June 2022
Hand-picked, whole bunch-pressed, fermented and matured in French oak. Its crystal clear quartz-green hue signals the ’21 vintage in all its glory, the bouquet and palate a seamless array of nectarine, grapefruit and cashew. The feel and flow of the aftertaste implore a second glass.

Decanter, July 2021
A lovely enticing nose filled with rich plum, fig and blackcurrant fruits - heady and opulent. The palate is precise with a distinct texture, certainly dense and ripe but the flavours just settle on the tongue giving spiced touches of liquorice but allowing the freshness and acidity to underpin the overall taste. It feels very carefully constructed with everything in place allowing power and generality but neatly packaged and not overdone. A blend of 88% Cabernet Sauvignon, 8% Merlot, 3% Cabernet Franc and 1% Petit Verdot. Wines are aged for 18 months in 100% French oak, 76% new.
