Celebrating Trialto's 25th Anniversary - Argiano Library Offer
Rich in history and with passion for nurturing the land, Argiano produces incredible, award-winning wines. Established in 1580 in the southwestern part of the Brunello di Montalcino DOCG, the estate has passed through various noble families. With most of its vineyards at 300 metres above sea level, biodiversity, and organic and sustainable farming are major components of the estate. In fact, since 2019 Argiano has eliminated all single-use plastics.
In 2013, Bernardino Sani took the reins as CEO. In celebration of our 25th Anniversary, we’re excited to share with our valued customers a special wine from Argiano, their 2015 Brunello di Montalcino, the year Bernardino also became their winemaker. Brunello aficionados know it to be a particularly noteworthy vintage, as well. Anthony Gismondi offers up this wine as a “fabulous introduction to the property,” calling it the “real thing and will be for decades.”
With much acclaim and very limited quantities in market, this wine won’t be available for long.

September 2020
What's often forgotten in the general hubbub which surrounds Brunello di Montalcino is that this DOCG circumscribes the area of Tuscany where Sangiovese ripens more amply and more beguilingly than anywhere else - though of course this is a grape variety whose resource is such that differences of ripening spectrum based on site do nothing but add to its nuance and appeal. If you want to get a fix on the sheer, disarming loveliness of that ample ripeness, try this wine: glowing, almost exotic fruits, with a little incense spice creeping into the mix, then glowing, soft-textured flavours which brim with summer's end and autumn's plenty: ripe plums and berries, autumn leaves, some wild mushroom fragrance and the dark spices which hint at Christmas to come.
