Clos des Fous is back!

An ambitious project started by Pedro Parra and Francois Massoc – Chilean industry legends – and now spearheaded by Paco Leyton, focusing on cooler climate zones in southern Chile searching for cold, clouds, rain, and old vines.

This is the land of gnarly old vines (País, Muscat or sporadic pockets of Carignan and Cinsault among others) and is the heart of Chile's colonial winemaking past.

Pour Ma Gueule showcases red berries, black cherries and pepper with bright acidity and fine tannins. Those elements come through on the palate, with fresh black and red fruit, revealing a full-bodied wine. This wine opens generously, very silky and lush on the palate. The mid palate is round and velvety with very fine tannins and the excellent acidity that enhance its liveliness and balance.

Fresh & precise Pinot for Burgundy lovers. Subtle cherry pit fruit and plenty of earthy tones in perfect balance, we could drink this all day. Savory nose of green peppercorn, autumn leaves, wet slate, and forest floor. Very pretty pale color is deceptive, as this falls closer to medium bodied for Pinot. Strawberry seeds, mushroom, and graphite on the palate.

This blend from the Maule show notes of leather, cassis, black tar, blackberry, crused walnuts, and a hint of Eucalyptus on the nose. Fig and blueberry syrup on the palate with touches of powdered sugar and some spice. This wine has depth and layers that continue to an extremely long finish.
