James Suckling on FELTON ROAD

Titre

"If Central Otago was the Côte de Nuits, then Bannockburn would likely be Vosne-Romanée and I’m going to hang it right out and say that Felton Road would be the top gun, the DRC."

James Suckling, October 2022

Very attractive hibiscus with sliced strawberries and orange peel aromas that follow through to a medium body with very fine tannins and a fresh and clean wine. Tangy and succulent fruit. From biodynamically grown grapes with Demeter certification.

Bob Campbell MW, August 2021

Intense wine with a complex mix of fruit, floral and savoury flavours including violet, dark cherry, chocolate/mocha. Richly-textured, with a backbone of sweet, ripe tannins that linger long after the wine has been swallowed. High alcohol (14.5%) but the wine can certainly handle it. Collectors and investors note: this is the first release of a new label.
