Decanter on MMAD VINEYARD
|
|
Michael Hill Smith MW, Martin Shaw, Adam Wadewitz and David LeMire MW are also behind sister-labels Shaw + Smith, up the road in South Australia’s Adelaide Hills, and Tolpuddle Vineyard down in Tasmania [...] Made in the first year of ownership, the maiden releases in the MMAD range share the restraint, clarity, precision and fruit purity seen in the Tolpuddle Vineyard and Shaw + Smith wines. Helped in 2021 by the mild ripening conditions.

James Halliday (Australian Wine Companion), September 2022
Deep, bright colour; a wine of tremendous presence, the whole bunch component
15-20%, 15 days on skins, 33% in concrete vessels, the balance in stainless steel
and used oak. A magical combination of techniques to produce blackberry, licorice
and dark chocolate flavours, the tannins almost silky.
