Pirramimma White Label 2019 Shiraz is a savoury and concentrated McLaren Vale Shiraz, ripe with juicy black plum, dark cherry, violets, mocha, vanilla with cedar brush and cracked black pepper spice plushy on the palate. Grapes were sourced from 30-plus-year-old vines from estate vineyards Ironstone, Katunga, Oakley, Bullrush, Bellevue and Johnston Prolific. Aged in both American and French oak barrels (15% new). |

A year-in, year-out smoking value as well as a great bottle of wine, the 2021 Côtes du Rhône Mon Coeur checks in as equal parts Grenache and Syrah brought up in neutral oak. Its vivid ruby hue is followed by a medium-bodied, elegant, lively red offering pretty red and black berry fruits, some spring flowers, peppery herbs, and gamey nuances, fine tannins, and nicely integrated acidity. Coming from a cooler year, it still brings plenty of richness and depth and is well worth seeking out.

The aromas and flavors are pure and defined, and it's tasty, easy to drink and has very fine tannins. Among the finest Pruno of recent times. 617,338 bottles, 13,059 magnums and 100 double magnums produced. It was bottled in October 2020. |
