Celebrating Trialto's 25th Anniversary - Jean-Marc Brocard Library Offer

2023 marks 25 years of Trialto!

For 25 years our team has proudly shared our passion for wines of People, Place and Time. There have been many people who have helped along the way to make Trialto what it is today; from our incredible winery partners, to everyone who has worked for us over the years. It has long been our privilege to bring sought after wines to Canada, year after year, from some of the best producers around the world.

As we approached this milestone, we asked ourselves the question how best to celebrate? The obvious answer was with great wine!

So, we asked our partners to share something special from their cellars that we can pass on to our valued customers. Throughout 2023 we will be offering a collection of aged wines with impeccable provenance, directly from the cellars of our esteemed winery partners.

Today, we are pleased to release our 2nd Library offer of the year from Domaine Jean-Marc Brocard. At Trialto we like to jokingly refer to Brocard as the finishing school of Chablis. Many of the people behind the hottest new Domaines of the last 2 decades have had their start at Brocard. From Alice and Olivier de Moor to Clotilde Davenne to Patrick Piuze -- all previously worked either as Vineyard Managers or Winemakers at Brocard. We believe it speaks beautifully to the ethos of the estate that so many talented winemakers got their start here. This Library offer comes to us from the 2013 vintage and the left bank Côte de Jouan 1er Cru. It is a standalone vineyard (it is not subdivided into other Premier Cru titles) above the village of Courgis with south facing exposure. The wines at Brocard are classic Chabils – terroir driven and mineral. We encourage you to take advantage of this offer and to celebrate our 25th year with us!

Cheers!

A Library Release, sourced in 2023, directly from the cellar of Domaine Jean Marc Brocard. Cote de Jouan 2013 is in beautiful shape at the moment. Classic Chablis tension. There is weight here, contrasted with crystalline acidity. Aromas of orchard fruit, nutmeg with just a hint of honeyed age. This is in a beautiful place, but all the structure is here for bottles to easily last another decade.

About JEAN-MARC BROCARD

JEAN-MARC BROCARD

Jean-Marc Brocard's origins lie in the Côte d'Or, the son of a farmer from the village of Chaudenay-le-Château. It was an accident of marriage that brought him to wine, he married a vigneron's daughter. Jean-Marc planted his first vines in 1973 in the village of Préhy, the birth year of his son and now vineyard manager, Julien. Jean-Marc says "The truth of wine lies in the soil where it has grown."
