Founded in 1989 by cousins Martin Shaw and Michael Hill Smith MW, their mission is to craft exceptional, elegant wines that defied the stereotypical Australian wines -- the Adelaide Hills averages 4°C lower during the day and up to 8°C lower at night compared to neighbouring Barossa.

Their relentless pursuit of quality is exemplified in this library offer, Shaw + Smith 2013 Shiraz which we've tasted recently. It is outstanding now and has the longevity to further evolve in the cellar.

Shaw + Smith was founded in 1989 by Michael Hill Smith and Martin Shaw with the goal of producing elegant, world class wines from the Adelaide hills. That Shaw + Smith have succeeded in spades should come as no surprise given the resumes of its founders. Hill Smith was Australia's first MW and Martin Shaw worked at Petaluma before becoming an in demand consultant. The estate produces benchmark Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Noir & Shiraz.
