Catena Alta Malbec $6 off at BCLiquor Stores
18 years. This was how long it took before third generation vintner Nicolás and his daughter Laura decided to bottle for their first Catena Malbec. The visionary duo researched the vineyards for 15 years followed by 3 years of experimentation at the winery. In 1994, the first premium Argentine varietal Malbec was made to be released to the international market.
The research and experimentation continued for another 2 years, identifying the family’s best vineyard rows of Cabernet Sauvignon, Chardonnay and Malbec. The first vintages of the Catena Alta wines were made in very small quantities and the Alta lineup continues to be a limited production of single varietal wines made from a selected few rows in the Catena family's vineyards.
These special wines are enjoyable starting at three years after harvest, and for those with patience can be cellared one to two decades. Today, we’re pleased to offer the Alta Malbec at a further remarkable value with $6 off at BCLiquor Stores. Offer ends June 3, 2023.
If you hope to have any in your cellar in the next 10 to 20 years, consider buying this in cases, not just the one. You will be rewarded!
