About this winery

Component Wine Company was started in 2014 by Michael Kennedy and his wife Rachel with the goal of making 100% single variety wines from single vineyards in Napa Valley, Sonoma, Bordeaux & Provence. Michael was formerly the Head Sommelier at Blue by Eric Ripert at the Ritz-Carlton Grand Cayman. In 2014 Michael travelled to Napa and met with then director of winemaking at Bryant Family Vineyard and now business partner, Marc Gagnon. Production notes

This lighter extraction method helps to retain silky tannins in the wine. This technique has also led to a lifted, floral wine with notes of boysenberry and vanilla. The 2021 vintage is drinking beautifully now and will continue to develop and express more of its tertiary nuances over the coming two decades.
