Product notes

Today, biodynamics is self-evident: Man works in harmony with nature, driven by a deep respect for Terroirs and Life. The art of blending is a tradition in our region. Over the centuries, the Coulon family has made it one of the strong markers of its identity. Grenache, Syrah and Carignan vines unite harmoniously to offer a gourmet wine with radiant fruit.

Production notes

Ferrmented in stainless steel and aged for 14 months in concrete tanks. There is a total sulfer of 65mgr/L and 15mgr/L of free sulfites.

Tasting notes

Gourmet wine that presents notes of red fruits enhanced with spices. In the mouth, the Côtes du Rhône offers us a surprising freshness with silky tannins. It's a wine which will perfectly accompany your moments of sharing. A great pairing with Lamb, coated with tomatoes and basil.

Geoffrey Moss MW, March 2023 (Vintage 2020)

This organic and biodynamic Côtes du Rhône is named for proprietors Daniel and Frederic Coulon, who belong to the seventh-generation leading Domaine de Beaurenard. Don't let the fun name and packaging mislead you. This is serious Côtes du Rhône, well-deserving of the price. There's a lovely purity to the fruit, with macerated raspberries and brambles joined by peppery spices, thyme, and sun-baked clay. It's juicy yet concentrated, carrying the 15% abv well, and structured by ripe, fine tannins, which shows this is more than a step above your average CdR.
