McManis Family Vineyards practice sustainable farming and are certified sustainable through the ‘Lodi Rules for Sustainable Winegrowing’ program. Select rootstocks and clones as well as labor intensive fruit management techniques and canopy management are part of the premium grape growing practices, demonstrated in all their vineyards.
Juice was fermented on the skins for 6-9 days, the must was pressed, and the resulting wine finished fermentation in stainless steel tanks. The wine was then aged in a combination of new and used French and American Oak for 6 months.
Fruit forward with aromas of blackberry, sweet vanilla and a hint of baking spices. Juicy and concentrated, the wine is succulent and has a pleasing toasty finish.
