McManis Family Vineyards practice sustainable farming and are certified sustainable through the ‘Lodi Rules for Sustainable Winegrowing’ program. Select rootstocks and clones as well as labor intensive fruit management techniques and canopy management are part of the premium grape growing practices, demonstrated in all their vineyards.
This wine is a blend of 80% Petite Sirah and 20% Tannat. After fermenting on the skins for 6-9 days the must was pressed. The resulting wine finished fermentation in stainless steel tanks, and then was aged in new & used French and American oak barrels.
Blackberry and boysenberry on the nose, as well as caramel, toffee and chocolate. The wine has a rich, soft cream texture of mocha and ripe black fruit flavours, followed by a lingering, mouthwatering finish. 80% Petite Sirah and 20% Tannat.
