The H Billiot estate is comprised of 5 hectares of Grand Cru vineyards spread across 18 different mid-slope parcels of limestone in Ambonnay. The 2013 Brut Vintage presents a decidedly ripe, almost exotic, expression of the year. Ample, full-bodied and luscious, the Brut Vintage showcases all of the exuberance Ambonnay is so well-known for. The blend is 70% Pinot Noir and 30% Chardonnay, done in stainless steel, with no malolactic fermentation.

The 2014 Champagne Millésime Brut is more restrained and pure, with fresh white flowers, croissant dough, and marzipan. The palate is zippy and persistent, with a chalky texture and notes of Meyer lemon as well as orange rind. A bit of savoriness with its salinity comes through and makes for a food friendly expression in the range.

The nose of the 2015 Champagne Millésime Brut is confected and sunny, although it keeps a fresh fruit profile without oxidation, offering notes of preserved strawberry, fresh pressed roses, and grapefruit. The palate is more open knit that the previous two vintages and is the most approachable for drinking now. It is flush with fresh raspberry, salted citrus, and a floral profile continuing through the end. Drink over the next 10 to 15 years.
