About this winery

In the south of France sits the village of Rasteau, a small hilltop parish with a long history of winemaking. First established by the Romans in 30 BC, the hilly, south-facing slopes and smooth-pebbled soils of the region provide the ideal terroir for planting classic Rhone varietals like: Grenache, Mourvedre, and of course Syrah. Cave de Rasteau is one of Côtes du Rhône’s oldest co-operative wineries. Founded in 1925, it now consists of a union of eighty growers managing over 700 hectares....

Tasting notes

Le Dome du Grand Bois Cotes du Rhône shines a brilliant ruby red in the glass as it releases wonderful aromas of red fruit and blackcurrant. Fruity and spicy in style, this wine also offers a well-balanced tannic structure. Pair it with roast chicken, lamb dishes, or goat cheeses.

January 2018

A blend of Grenache, Cinsault and Carignane, this Rhône Valley red brings juicy blackberry, tomato plant, black licorice, black cherry and raspberry notes on the nose. It's a medium-plus-bodied red with bright dark fruit flavours, modest green/herbal notes, light acidity and no real noticeable oak presence. Chill this for 15 minutes and enjoy with pizza.
