Octobre 2025 (Millésime 2024)

Perfumed and subtle lemon and sliced apple aromas follow through to a medium body with so much finesse, yet it’s structured and lightly chewy. Long finish. Exceptional. From biodynamically grown grapes.

Novembre 2023 (Millésime 2022)

Yellow apple, apricot and acacia followed by baking spices, marzipan and stony minerality with a touch of cheese rind. Medium-bodied with a good backbone of acidity which balances out the wine well. Beautiful harmony and drinkability. Mendoza clone (Wente) on own roots. From biodynamically grown grapes with Demeter certification.

Novembre 2024 (Millésime 2023)

Mineral-driven aromas of flint, green apples, lemon peel, crushed river stones and lime blossoms. The palate is light- to medium-bodied with a laserlike acidity and underlying power, giving notes of pears, orange peel and tangerines. High-energy and craftily constructed with layers of flavor and mineral tension. Excellent.

Septembre 2024 (Millésime 2022)

The 2022 Block 2 chardonnay leads in with aromas of tight white peach and yellow stone fruits, along with green apple, citrus fruits, soft spice, nougat, grilled nuts, white flowers, crushed river stone and a curious whiff of chilled chicken broth. Tight and detailed with a beautifully taut palate shape and sense of clarity. Just a squeak of phenolics lends a wonderful textural aspect and the wine accelerates away on rails of minerally acidity, finishing savoury, stony and packed with umami.

Octobre 2022 (Millésime 2021)

A sense of lemon zest comes with notions of wet pebble and alluring note of fresh, green apple. The palate conveys brisk freshness first and foremost that allows pure, ripe lemon to shine. A mouth-watering, engaging, appetising Chardonnay with much texture and no heaviness at all. Finest refreshment - made without any new oak.

Novembre 2020

If you're looking for an easygoing, approachable-in-youth Chardonnay, you're in the wrong place. Drink Felton's Bannockburn and Block 6 while you're waiting for this cuvée to reach its peak. The reason is that it has a steely rod of acidity, which provides tension from start to finish. The wild fermentation in barrel imbues a mellow, nutty character to the upright, citrus and red apple fruit. There's excellent depth here and long length.

Rebecca Gibb MW, Décembre 2024 (Millésime 2023)

While the opening is rather appealing to the 2023 Chardonnay Block 2 with welcoming puppy fat, this is all about its sense of tension, held tightly together as if it's an Anjou Chenin on schist, giving similar tension and chili spice. Pure, succulent fruit is held within a tight corset. The finish is long and savory, with almond pastry layers lingering long alongside the pear and nectarine notes. (100% Mendoza clone, 17 months in barrel, 4% new oak).

Février 2026 (Millésime 2024)

The 2024 Chardonnay Block 2 is focused, firm and athletic. It has drive and continually propels forward. Ripe citrus and nectarine combine with sophisticated oak use that adds complexity. The 2024 is tight and compact but intense, with all the components to evolve and unfurl over the next decade and beyond.
