En 1987, Gonzalo Antón a mis en branle un projet révolutionnaire au fin fond de la région de la Rioja Alavesa, en collaboration avec un groupe d’amis et de gens d’affaires provenant de Vitoria, une ville avoisinante. Cherries, currants, plums, plush chocolate and fine spices. Medium-bodied with ripe, juicy berry fruit and a tightly wound, creamy finish. Very good length with touches of hazelnuts, chocolate and orange peel at the end.

The spicy and smoky 2020 Reserva was produced with a blend of Tempranillo with 9% Graciano and feels quite oaky after 16 months in 50/50 French and American oak barrels. It has ripeness, 14.55% alcohol, and a creamy touch, with abundant tannins and plenty of oak-related flavors.
