Production notes
Domaine Latour-Giraud has been producing wine since the end of the 17th century. The estate gets most of its production, largely white wines, from the Meursault commune, but also signs outstanding reds like this Volnay from the superb 2009 vintage. The cuvee is born from a tiny parcel of Clos des ChĂȘnes, the vastest Volnay Premier Cru, and presents undeniable charm. The owner and winemaker, Jean-Pierre Latour, can be proud of the brilliantly designed Pinot Noir refined by 16 month of French-oak ageing (30%new).
