Tasting notes

Aromas of black fruit, especially blackberries and plums, with slight spicy overtones hinting at black pepper and cinnamon. Sweet, soft tannins come together in a closely-woven texture that merges with the fruit, while a crisp freshness provides a long, tasty finish.

Wine Align
April 2014

A midweight Italian red made 100% from Piedmont's barbera grape. The nose shows delicate aromas of red cherry fruit with some mild oak spice, with floral and vanilla notes. It is juicy and fruity with vibrant acid and mild tannin. The fruit persists well on to the dry finish. Very good length. Try with pizza or meaty pasta sauces. Best 2014 to 2017. - Steve Thurlow
