This is 100% barbera aged six months in oak, so the bottling and shipping is very recent, and its youth is on display. It pours very deep purple ruby. The nose is very lifted with grapey, plummy fruit, floral notes and some oak resin and vanilla. It's mid-weight, smooth, fresh and very fruity - almost to the point of simplicity. But it is impressively drinkable with easy tannin and fresh acidity. The length is very good. Very good value. Age it one year.
