The High Mountain Vines tips us off to the freshness to be found here, which works to carry the sunned red fruits and leathered mid along a lengthy palate. Sourced from four vineyards ranging from 920m - 1450m, and across various soil types, this carries cherries, wild raspberries, dark cocoa dusted tannins along a stream of acidity to a satisfyingly lingering, smokey finish. This vintage has really opened up, though still benefits from a decant.
