For sheer drinking pleasure, it’s hard to match the wines from this estate. They also
deliver in terms of value for money. This is a delightful Riserva, which expresses the
heat of the vintage, but somehow tames it: sweet, plush and concentrated with
flavours of sweet red fruits, succulent tannins, haunting perfume and a backbone of
acidity for balance and poise. Modernised tradition at its best.March 2013
