Pale straw-green. Perfumed aromas of minty chlorophyll, grapefruit, lemon verbena and lime. Then pure, clean and racy, featuring saline flavors of green fruit, fresh citrus and delicate spices. Long and very clean on the subtle finish, which features surprising backbone (that’s the Muscat d’Alsace). This is in fact mainly Muscat d’Alsace, with very little Muscat Ottonel present due to coulure-related problems, which typically nails Muscat Ottonel in difficult springs. Knockout entry-level Muscat. These grapes are picked in two different parcels (one extremely old, planted by Olivier’s father right after the war).
