The 2013 Pinot Noir Peters Vineyard is impeccable in its balance of fruit, acidity and aromatics. Crushed flowers, mint, dried cherries and pine form an attractive tapestry of aromas, flavors and textures, especially through the mid-palate and finish, where the wine offers lovely density. All the elements fall into place effortlessly. Floral, lifted notes from the 40-50% whole clusters add considerable nuance. Today, the Peters is super-expressive, but my sense is that it will continue to improve.
