Chateau Sancerre is mix of fruit grown over a diverse mix of terroirs: clay limestone, limestone, flint and sandy clay that come together to produce, at least in 2014, a fresh, bright relatively youthful expression of Sancerre sauvignon. Look for a stony/mineral notes mixed with riper versions of grapefruit and kiwi fruit flavours to predominate from front to back. Best with shellfish or lighter whiter seafood dishes.
