This is a well-made and very attractive chardonnay made from organically grown grapes. It’s quite full bodied, with concentrated and impressively rich flavours for what was a fairly cool vintage in Niagara. The fruit is supported and reined in by a broad seam of clean, fresh acidity, and the wine shows lovely textural complexity, some deriving from extended lees contact. This is drinking well now and I would drink it within a couple of years so as to enjoy its freshness.
