This all Dundee Hills Pinot is made with 100 per cent organic grapes. It’s 100 per cent barrel-aged in French oak for 16 months; 38 per cent of the oak new. The winery takes 30 per cent of the fruit off the skins immediately to maintain a level of Pinot pureness. The blend involves each of the Pinot blocks spread across the 85-acre estate. A richer style in 2014 offering darker fruits, blackberries, black cherries and brambleberries inter-mixed with savoury forest-floor notes. The texture is lush with a touch of tannins to yet disperse. The finish is long and persistent with brown spicing.
