Again, this is a bolder expression of a very alluring style of pinot noir that taps into the Bannockburn soul of ripe red and dark cherry fruits, fine spices and fragrant perfumes. There are some more savory, stony notes here that tend towards graphite-like, darker minerally nuances, in addition to wild herbs and plenty of sweet spices - in all, there's a lot in the glass. The palate's deep, smooth, succulent and even, and it delivers abundant dark-cherry and plum-fruit flavors, sturdy tannins and impressive weight. This shows a thicker gauge than the sibling Felton pinots and will age handsomely; it has real presence and weight. Elegantly hedonistic!
