Lieux-dits Reynard and La Geynale, no detemming, aged for 15 months on old barriques. Fresher than fresh, with garrigue herbs, ripe blackberries and pine resin all lifted further by a whiff of menthol. Very full-bodied, but again it’s the freshness that’s the most arresting thing on the palate; the surge of fine, ripe tannins only really ride in on the finish. It totally coats the mouth in a fusion of fruit and tannin, and leaves you feeling like you’ve just jumped in a swimming pool. Perfect balance. As fit as a butcher’s dog. 2023-2050
