The stony soils high on the north side of the Montagne de Beaune have produced a bright, tensile wine in the 2022 Beaune 1er Cru Clos de l'Écu Monopole, a medium to full-bodied, supple and suave red wine redolent of raspberries, sweet spices, orange zest and licorice
