A Super Tuscan of outstanding style, harmony and vitality, the 2011 Oreno has a highly laudable immediacy of appeal. Opaque ruby in colour, the wine discloses inviting, finely layered aromas of blackberries, baked plums, licorice, crushed rocks, herbs and a hint of mocha, vanilla and spice. Very complex, possessing superlative fruit, firm tannins, balanced acidity and a full-bodied, deliciously 'lively' hint of blackberries and red fruits on the finish. Impeccable for the vintage, this seems more fruit-oriented than many previous outings. Best enjoyed over the next ten years or more. Now-2023++
