Product notes

100% Sangiovese from the Solatio vineyard located on the Conca d’Oro in Panzano. Silty-clay loam soil, deep, fairly plebby, originating from calcareous marl, with good level of organic substance.

Production notes

Alcoholic fermentation at controlled temperatures in stainless steel tanks, breaking and soaking of the marc through manual pressing and pump-overs with air. Long post-alcoholic submerged cap maceration and spontaneous malolactic fermentation. Aged for 30 months in medium-sized Slavonian oak barrels; 12 months in glass-lined cements vats and 6 months in bottle.

June 2022 (Vintage 2017)

This has aromas of sweet berries, cherries, white pepper, dried herbs and salted chocolate. Medium-bodied with firm, silky tannins and fresh acidity. Savory and juicy with a long, flavorful finish. From organically grown grapes. Vegan.

February 2022 (Vintage 2017)

It has a brilliant ruby red colour. There is a fragrant nose of ripe raspberry and strawberry, with beautiful nuances of cherry compote, and a lovely clove aroma on the finish. It unfolds nicely on the palate, with fresh fruit, grippy tannins, an undertone of minerality, and good grip, and there is minimal aftertaste on the finish.
