In 1781, in the small town of Tupin-et-Semons, south of Lyon and within the most prestigious vineyard of the Rhône, Joseph Vidal founded the House of the same name. Long and traditionnal macération (3 weeks). . Fermentation with indigenous yeast. Controlled température of maceration at 30°C. 100% malolactic fermentation. Aged on lees : 3 months in tank and 2 years in barrels Natural clarification and stabilization by settling and one filtration. Maturation in bottle : 3 months before shipment.
Dark red, complex and harmonious, plum, blackberry, violet, animal. Full bodied, ripen dense tannin, fresh, red fruit, ham oaky, good lenght.
I loved the nose of the 2020 Cornas, and this pretty, medium to full-bodied Cornas shines for its purity of fruit as well as balance. It’s very floral on the nose and has plenty of more blue-tinged fruits, silky tannins, and a great finish.
