About this winery

Bollinger is a truly classic Champagne house and one of the world’s greatest wine producers, renowned for wines that epitomize Champagne’s unparalleled reputation for elegance and refinement. Production notes

Remarkably textured, bringing a generous creaminess to the palate. Notes of toasted hazelnuts blend seamlessly into a chocolatey finish, enhanced by dried fruits such as apricot and delicate hints of quince jelly. A lovely freshness, with more bright acidity than saline, brings exceptional complexity.

December 2024 (Vintage 2014)

A luxurious Champagne from start to finish, this is enticing, with pain d'épices, ripe fruit and mineral notes wafting on the nose, while a plush mousse caresses the palate. A skein of fragrant spices winds through a rich panoply of crème de cassis, black cherry, baked pineapple, glazed tangerine peel, toasted raisin bread and honey flavors, all shaped and well-defined by vibrant acidity. Savory smoke and oyster shell accents are a minerally push on the lasting finish.

Antonio Galloni, March 2024

The 2014 La Côte aux Enfants is a powerful, resonant Champagne. It emerges from north-facing parcels in a site best known for still reds. Kirsch, leather, spice, tobacco, ginger and cinnamon all build in the glass. Readers will find a Champagne that shows the wilder, gamier side of Pinot Noir allied to a good bit of supporting structure. This is a fine effort from Bollinger. Dosage is 6 grams per liter.
