About this winery

Vincent Paris has rapidly ascended to become one of the stars of the tiny Cornas appellation. Blessed with a collection of small parcel, old vine vineyards (some nearly 100 years of age) which he inherited from his grandfather, Vincent has turned out some of the most exciting wines in the region in the past decade. The praise for Paris’ wines is almost universal, drawing consistently top marks from the Wine Advocate, Wine Spectator and Stephen Tanzer’s International Wine Cellar. His wines...

April 2023 (Vintage 2021)

The moment you move the glass close to your nose the extraordinary perfume of this great Cornas is overwhelming. Deep, meaty and smoky, yet brimming with blue fruits and violets, how can you resist? What grace and elegance this has on the pristine and light-footed palate. Really concentrated, but only medium-bodied (13% alcohol) this is a masterpiece of filigree at the breathtakingly fresh and precise finish.

May 2020 (Vintage 2019)

Mineral-driven aromas of ripe black/blue fruits, peony, olive and exotic spices on the nose. Sappy and focused on the palate, offering gently sweet, mineral-kissed cherry and blueberry flavors that deepen slowly with air and show sharp delineation. The blue fruit note drives an impressively long, spicy finish that's given subtle grip by fine-grained, even tannins.

April 2020 (Vintage 2018)

Opaque ruby. Fresh blackberry and cherry scents, along with suggestions of baking spices, olive and pungent flowers. Appealingly sweet black and blue fruit flavors gain energy and spiciness with air while a smoky mineral element adds back-end cut. Even tannins add gentle grip to an impressively long, floral-tinged finish that leaves a spicy note behind.

October 2020 (Vintage 2019)

Lovely ripe freshness to the fruit, really bright summer pudding aromas. Mouthcoating fruit and tannin, very fine tannin. Acidity is surprisingly marked. Plenty of ripe tannins, they're quite lively, textural, fruit-derived. Very juicy, very fruity, concentrated and ripe. No great depth, very accessible. 10-year-old vines, all destemmed.

Matt Walls, September 2022 (Vintage 2021)

A surprisingly floral expression of Cornas, with plentiful violets on the nose. Smooth, ripe, fresh and well balanced. The acidity is quite marked, in fact, making for quite a brisk, strict style on the palate. Tannins are firm and quite rigid, so give this some time. All destemmed.
