LATOUR-GIRAUD - Meursault 1er cru Genevrières - 2016

LATOUR-GIRAUD

Meursault 1er cru Genevrières 2016

(from 40+ year old vines from a huge 2.5 ha parcel in Genevrières Dessus). Naturally exotic aromas are composed of Asian-style tea and the essence of pear and acacia blossom. The middle weight flavors possess both a finer mouth feel as well as more minerality though not the same power as this is almost delicate on the cool, pure and admirably well-balanced finale. Lovely stuff.

About Burghound.com

Burghound.com is the result of a nearly lifelong passion for the wines of Burgundy. For more than 30 years, I have been collecting the wines and visiting the region. Each year I spend nearly five months visiting, researching, tasting, exploring and evaluating. Burgundy is my obsession really. Expanding on my coverage of the coveted pinot noir grape, each issue provides continuous coverage of both Oregon and California pinot noir, with rotating coverage of Champagne and occasional special reports from other pinot producing regions.
