Tasted with winemaker Ernesto Bajda here the new regional, high altitude series by Catena develops new character, restrained aromatics and yet the white blossom and citrus flowers so prevalent if indeed necessary in torrontes. If this isn't the Mendoza mimic of biting into a ripe peach, drizzled with clementine and studded with strips of herbaceous bitters than I don't know what is. Edges to tropical but chooses to abstain. Finishes with a compression within the circulation of its own delightful liqueur. A most excellent drop of vine protected and properly stressed torrontes.
