James Molesworth, Février 2022 (Millésime 2019)

This sports a fun tumble of cassis, cherry paste and raspberry coulis notes, while red licorice, roasted applewood and tar accents fill in. Has range and energy from start to finish. Grenache, Syrah, Mourvèdre and Cinsault. Best from 2023 through 2036. 1,600 cases made, 400 cases imported.

Matt Walls, Octobre 2020 (Millésime 2019)

Grenache to the fore, strawberry and Victoria plum, but all the varieties make themselves known. This is medium-bodied, not excessive, large or heavy with real purity and drinkability. It has a good sense of balance and elegance with fine tannins. The alcohol is warm but not out of balance. Eight different plots around Gigondas, biodynamically farmed, partly destemmed.

Août 2014

The 2011 Domaine Santa Duc ‘Aux Lieux-Dits’ delivers aromas of blackberry, mulberry, spices, chocolate, licorice, smoky ash and fresh lavender, which are just some of the nuances that come together in the glass. Full-bodied and well-structured, backed by underlying acidity that carries all the way into the finish. A very solid offering that will be even better after a few years of bottle age. Composed of 75% Grenache, 15% Syrah, 5% Mourvèdre and 5% Cinsault sourced from 8 different localities in Gigondas.
