SANTA EMA

4 to Elemento 2023

Santa Ema began planting its Cerro Blanco vineyards in the Pirque area around 2010, in a place at the foot of the first foothills of the Andes, between 700 and 1,000 meters above sea level—very high for the average vineyard in Chile. This particular cabernet (it has several varieties planted, all red) comes from a selection of vineyards about 850 meters above sea level and is a pure expression of Andean cabernet, rich in fruit notes, but above all generous in herbal tones. The body is supported by fine, firm tannins, flavors of ripe red fruits, and the finish recalls herbs. A very clear example of mountain cabernet.

À propos de Descorchados

Descorchados is the main reference for South American wines. Since 1999, this guide has been analyzing the wine scene in this part of the world, giving consumers and trade an overview of what Argentina, Chile and Uruguay produce, from the most expensive to the cheapest wines; from big wine companies to tiny artesanal producers. In order to expand our coverage, this year we have included the sparkling wines from Brazil, an amazing journey you must taste.
