Dark red-ruby. Inviting high-pitched aromas of blackberry, dark raspberry, bitter chocolate and violet. Densely packed, fine-grained and sweet; a fresh, firm fruit bomb of a Bonarda with just a bit of the variety's leathery funk leavened by a violet topnote. From vines that are more than 80 years of age. Finishes with sneaky rising length and firm, smooth tannins. A stunning value.
