Vinous on MARION
Plainly stated, Marion is part of a handful of producers who are pushing the limits of progress in Valpolicella, and they are paving the way toward a brighter future.

Decanter, June 2023
Winemaker/owner Stefano Campedelli, a disciple of famous local enologist, Celestino Gaspari, produces a classically styled Valpolicella Superiore from his 22 hectares of vineyard at Marcellise, not far from the small town of San Martino Buon Albergo in Valpolicella Orientale. His 2019 is a pale cherry-garnet colour with a fragrant, almost floral nose, showing hints of spice, dried cherry and cranberry, and seasoned wood. Round and ripe with fresh, juicy red fruit flavours, the palate is balanced and poised. Elegant stuff with a long, lingering finish.
