About this winery

When Laura Catena decided to create a line of wines of her very own, she made a conscious decision to pay tribute to the traditional, small, family, growers and to a group of special vineyard sites in Mendoza, Argentina. The name La Posta refers to La Posta del Viñotero – ‘the Tavern of the Grape Grower’, found in every local village where farmers go to get their mail after a hard day in the vineyards. There, they meet to drink wine, laugh, and tell stories, agreeing to agree or disagree...

Production notes

The grapes are fermented through carbonic maceration and are then pressed. 100% whole cluster is hand-loaded into 5000-liter stainless-steel tanks.

Tasting notes

A delicate salmon color blends in with delicious scents of cherry blossom, pomegranate and fresh citrus notes. Elegant on the palate, bright and refreshing. It is a perfect ally of soft cheeses, salads, seafood and fish. Due to its complexity on the palate, it pairs graciously with pasta and rice dishes. Sweet chocolate desserts (even those made of fruit) complement the wine’s sweet aroma.

April 2021

A fuller rosé with dried-strawberry and peach character. It’s full and flavorful. Yet, it’s dry with a layered texture. Great with food.

This rosé is the product of malbec grapes from Tupungato but harvested early to preserve the freshness of the fruit. With 13% alcohol, this is a light and friendly rosé with very good texture and acidity. A rosé to drink in the summer.
