First established by the Romans in 30 BC, the hilly, south-facing slopes and smooth-pebbled soils of the region provide the ideal terroir for planting classic Rhone varietals like: Grenache, Mourvedre, and of course Syrah. Cave de Rasteau is one of Côtes du Rhône’s oldest co-operative wineries. Founded in 1925, it now consists of a union of eighty growers managing over 700 hectares....

Tasting notes

Le Dome du Grand Bois Cotes du Rhône shines a brilliant ruby red in your glass as it releases wonderful aromas of red fruit and blackcurrant. Fruity and spicy in style, this wine also offers a well-balanced tannic structure. Pair it with roast chicken, lamb dishes, or goat cheeses.

March 2019

In this wine, juicy blackberry and black-cherry notes are delicately muted by hints of forest floor and earth. It's full bodied and concentrated yet maintains a briskness on the palate. It's fresh and fruity yet earthy, complex and elegant too.
