The Gimonnet family has been growing vines in Champagne since 1750. In 1935 Pierre Gimonnet, grandfather of current owners Didier and Olivier, began producing champagne in the village of Cuis. Didier and Olivier own 30 hectares in total; 16 hectares are Premier Cru from the village of Cuis. The “OGER GRAND CRU” Vintage is the only origin from the south of the Côte des Blancs. It stands out for its natural power and its “smokier” mineral expression than our usual blends. To discover the opulence of a Terroir in the South of the Côte des Blancs.
Tightly wound and intensely mineral, this is a very serious and concentrated vintage champagne that just needs a bit more time in the bottle for the still discreet citrus notes to unfold. However, there are already so many layers of flavor on the tightly focused palate and at the long, very exciting finish.
