The DOCG of Cartizze is at the top of the Prosecco quality pyramid.
There is a lovely, subtle steely minerality in the background which adds an extra layer of interest. A food-friendly wine; try with juicy barbecued king prawns.
A serious nose, with green apples, nectarines, chalk and a hint of white blossom. Off-sweet and fruity, but rendered in a subtle way with a fresh, persistent fizz. Good length here. Not just about sweetness.
