Coming from a site in the Edna Valley that readers should have on their radar, the 2021 Syrah Slide Hill Vineyard is another cooler climate-inspired beauty offering awesome aromatics of ripe blackberries, blueberries, ground pepper, spring flowers, and hints of game. Reminding me of a young Guigal Côte Rôtie La Mouline, this incredible Syrah is full-bodied and has a pure, layered, seamless mouthfeel, flawless tannins, and a great, great finish.
