2024 (Vintage 2022)One of the best syrahs in South America today, this wine offers a refreshing, fruity take on the variety. It's still young, but it’s also deep, with delicious tones of spices and some of the variety’s classic meaty notes. On the palate it’s succulent, but the tannins and acidity are firm and the texture is tense and nervy, which helps the fruit express itself even more vigorously. This syrah is from a vineyard planted in La Consulta 54 years ago, making it rather older than your average South American syrah. It was aged in barrels for a year, 35% of which were new oak.
